Letter from the President In 1977, shortly after The State of Louisiana became a “right-to-work” state, Doyle Electric, Inc., was established out of a desire to provide dependable and reliable electrical construction services in the newly emerging merit shop market. The founding owners anchored these concepts with a commitment to ethics that promised fair and just treatment of our clients and employees. Then as now, we understand that our employees are the key to excellent service and are our most vital resource. Walking before we began to run, Doyle Electric opened for business in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on May 1, 1978 with a focus on providing electrical construction services in the commercial market. We relied on bidding small commercial and industrial projects and progressed as a respected member of the Baton Rouge construction community. During good times and bad we found our niche in abnormal projects – taking on the challenging projects that provided an opportunity to utilize our skills. During the late 1980s and into the 1990s, as the Baton Rouge Public Works Department upgraded and expanded its major sewage treatment plants and pumping stations, we expanded our services to provide the required electrical and instrumentation. During the 1990s Doyle Electric provided full electrical services for new construction and remodeling in both the commercial and industrial market in South Louisiana. As we entered the new millennium, Doyle Electric again adapted to the changing marketplace and began to focus on larger commercial construction that would benefit from our stable and experienced workforce. We also provide a full-time service crew to meet our clients’ growing needs for electrical repairs and service. Our full complement of tools and equipment, including cranes and bucket trucks, are available for both preventative maintenance and repair situations. We established a prefabrication shop in 2007 to allow off-site fabrication of many assemblies that go into the electrical systems of a project. The prefab shop allows our crews to provide a smoother and more efficient interface with the project – reducing our field install time to help our customers meet aggressive construction schedules – ensures the quality of Doyle Electric’s electrical installations. At Doyle Electric Inc. we look back to our roots and business foundations and know that we are well-positioned to move into the future. We thank our friends and clients who have helped our business growth and look forward to contributing to the cultural and economic growth of the Baton Rouge region in the coming years. Sincerely,
Bob Leitner
